A Case of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Syndrome


Abstract
This 21 year old male visited our hospital on April 1972, with complaints of visual disturbance in both eyes, vitiligo, poliosis and alopecia.
He was admitted to our department of ophthalmology for 7 days. He had uveitis in both his eyes and vitiligo on the face and hand, poliosis, alopecia were noted.
Slight sensory hearing disturbance on audiography, pleocytosis of spinal fluid, and mild dysrhythmic abnormality on E.E.G. were found.
Thus this case is presented as a complete form of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome, which is characterized by ocular, meningeal, vestibular, cochlear and dermal changes.
